Reliability Assessment of High Voltage Power Systems (RAHVE)
The RAHVE is a program designed to evaluate the condition of HV power equipment and develop a forward plan for operation, reconditioning or replacement whichever is applicable. This program has been successfully applied worldwide in diverse industries such as mining, power plants and railway power systems.
An important part of the RAHVE program is the assessment of the reliability of a network and through the application of reliability block modeling techniques, establish the impact that failure of its components may have on the business.
Taking advantage of the power of the AvSim + modeling tool, the program has been used to provide justification for the replacement of ageing components, testing up-grading strategies and prioritizing the stocking of slow-moving high cost spares.
The presentation explores the various aspects of the RAHVE program using real cases studies
