|
The Site Equipment data sheet comprises a tree hierarchy based on (in descending order) sites, functional locations (to any depth), equipment (to any depth), equipment functional location histories, failure and repair reports. Corrective actions and causes are recorded below the failure reports. The top-level item in the hierarchy is the ‘root node’ representing all sites. Below this node are created one or more site nodes. Each site comprises the following fields : unique id and description.
Below a site may be created one or more functional location nodes, which themselves may have one or more functional location child nodes and so on to any depth. Each functional location comprises the following fields : name, unique id and description.
Below a functional location node may also be created one or more equipment nodes, which themselves may have one or more equipment child nodes and so on to any depth. Each equipment item comprises the following fields : name, unique id, description, initial age, failure mode group and equipment group. Functional locations may be dragged and dropped to new functional location parents or to new sites. Equipment may be dragged and dropped to new equipment parents or to new functional locations.
Equipment Templates
All available equipment templates are shown in a pane at the bottom of the data sheet. The templates are simply dragged and dropped into the hierarchy to create a new equipment instances. Equipment hierarchies without a functional location are shown in another tab in this pane and may also be dragged and dropped into the hierarchy.
Equipment Functional Location Tracking
Below each equipment node is automatically created an ‘equipment functional location’ node when the equipment is created. If the equipment is then later moved to another functional location (or equipment parent) then a further ‘equipment functional location’ node is added. The ‘equipment functional location’ comprises the following fields: date (representing the installation date) and description. Thus all equipment movements are tracked through the lifetime of the equipment. |
